Profiled Inventory

PUI will review the customers's AVL and forecasted needs and put stock on PUI's shelf.

Determining quantity to fit the needs means being able to change quickly to adapt to the market; PUI is flexible.

EDI and Internet Technology

PUI is EDI-capable, exchanging thousands of line items of data every day. Using standard ANSI x.12 transaction sets, PUI is currently:

• receiving and acknowledging Purchase Orders
• verifying shipment status
• sharing inventory data
• electronic invoicing
• and more...

Some customers prefer to transfer data using the internet. Many send spreadsheets of quotes and schedules as e-mail to " puicorp@gopui.com " and are able to receive their answers quickly and efficiently using this technology.

In-Plant Stores/JIT - KanBan/Consigned Inventory

PUI has established valued partnerships that have included the ability to maintain a min/max level of inventory at the customer's site. This allows a customer to reduce material on hand to a minimum, thereby maximizing cash flow, without compromising the supply of product.

Some use numerical min/max levels and communicate the inventory levels periodically to PUI, triggering replenishment when the minimum quantity is reached.

Some use a two-bin KanBan system, triggering replenishment when one storage bin becomes empty.

Some "backflush" their inventory levels based on the shipment of finished goods, triggering replenishment when finished goods shows that sufficient product has been used to reach a minimum quantity level.

In each of these cases, how the inventory is monitored, how the data is exchanged, how the product is replenished at the customer site, and how and when the shipment is invoiced is determined by agreement between the customer and PUI.
